Celebrating the 125th anniversary of the famous Hallmark of Geneva (the official seal of the city and the canton of Geneva, Switzerland, that only a few watchmakers can actually use), the Swiss brand has recently introduced its new Roger Dubuis Excalibur Tourbillon Monopusher wheel automatic chronograph wristwatch.
As you know, the Geneva Seal can be sealed in a watch movement if the device meets certain criteria required by law, such as the place of the caliber of manufacturing (which should be done in the city of Geneva) and finish.
However, from next year, the requirements will be changed. In fact, it will be even tighter than before the organization behind the seal not only inspect the movement, but will also test the watch itself in order to certify that actually owns the claimed functions, as guaranteed by the minimum reserve power, water resistance, etc.
In short, the new requirements will dramatically increase the market value of the stamp.
